Welcome... to Jurassic Quest!
*Cue Jurassic Park Music*
If you know us, we NEVER pass up an opportunity to play dress up and go on adventures. When we found out Jurassic Quest was in town, I knew my kids would go crazy over it.
Jurassic Quest is a traveling drive-thru experience where you get to see life size dinosaurs that move and make noise. They feature over 70 life-like dinosaurs including the very popular T. Rex, Spinosaurus and Triceratops.
Jurassic Park was a favorite movie of mine growing up and between that and Indiana Jones, the adventures seemed endless. So the child in me was pretty excited to play make believe for just a little bit. So we got our best adventure gear on and piled in the car to head to the USANA Amphitheater in West Valley, Utah.
Our outfits were inspired by movies like, Tarzan, Jumanji, Jurassic Park and The Jungle Cruise. (Can you believe I found Pan's utility vest at Savers for $4?!) Everything else we already had on hand, which felt like a HUGE win to me. (Pixie in her little hat and neck scarf KILLS me.)
We arrive and was immediately given a link to the audio recordings that talked about each dinosaur and made it not only fun, but educational as well.
(That was our science lesson for homeschool that day. SCORE!!!)
I had NO idea the Pterodactylus was that HUGE!!!!
Dont let that face fool you, he had a BLAST.
Dont worry, Poppy was there too. She just didnt end up in a lot of photos.
Always liked the Triceratops.
We loved being able to see the different creatures and see what their colors, sounds and feathers (yes FEATHERS) would have looked like.
The kids really enjoyed it and Gavin and I did too. It was an awesome family activity and if you're in Utah, you should check it out before they head out to their next location. They are in town until May 9, 2021 and tickets are approximately $50 per vehicle. Click below for more info and let me know if you are brave enough for this adventure!
